Police are warning Eagle residents to make sure your garages are closed and your doors are locked after a string of burglaries.

About a dozen residents have been robbed in Eagle over the summer after they accidentally left doors open or unlocked. The burglaries were not isolated to one neighborhood and occurred in a city where many would least expect it.

According to KTVB, the subdivisions of Lexington Hills and Laguna Point were a couple of the neighborhoods hit.

Among the items stolen, are bicycles, credit cards, and cash.

Police say you can't be to careful no matter where you live and the thieves are looking to commit crimes of opportunity. Lock all doors, including side doors, car doors, and garage doors at all times.

If you know anything about these crimes please contact the Eagle Police at             (208) 938-2269
