Mountain Lion Kills Dog, Injures Another
For so many of us, our pets are like our kids. So I can only imagine the owners of two dogs that were attacked by a mountain lion are going through right now. One of the dogs, a female Australian shepherd was killed and the other, a male yellow Labrador retriever is recovering from his wounds after the incident which took place in a subdivision south of Ketchum.
Erin Pfaeffle, the owner of Pepper (the Australian shepherd) says that she went out to look for her and later found her body in her garage. She believes that someone brought her dog's body home.
Jan and Ed Cummins, the owners of Barkley (the Labrador) say he was attacked some time after going outside in the morning hours of Thursday.
The Idaho Mountain Express reports that the mountain lion responsible was captured and then released in a remote area.
