More Details Released in Drunk Driving Accident That Killed 24 Ye

This story just gets worse and worse. We now know just how drunk the man from Eagle was when he hit and killed 24 year old Madeline Duskey and there's even more disturbing details to the story.

42 year old Adam Paulson is being held on a $1 million dollar bond. New details released by KTVB say that Paulson's blood alcohol content at the scene of the accident was .158, nearly twice the legal limit. He was driving home from a bar after admittedly drinking vodka drinks and by his own account he didn't even know he had hit something until his airbags deployed.

Paulson has a pretty troubled past. He was on probation at the time of the accident on a domestic violence charge and destruction of evidence. As part of his sentence he was ordered not to drink any alcohol and obviously he did not adhere to that.

I'm a very forgiving, open minded, try to see things from all sides type of person, but this case outrages me! Because of this man's choices he took the life of a vibrant young mother whose children and whose family has to suffer and miss her for the rest of their lives. I don't know what it will take in our society for people to learn that if you are going to drink you have to drink responsibly. Accidents like this should never ever happen. I have vowed to myself that I will always be extra extra careful when it comes to driving after drinking. Purchase a personal breathalyzer, they aren't that expensive. Get an Uber, a ride from a friend, do anything but get behind the wheel of a car after you have been drinking. It's just not worth the risk.

Mr. Paulson's preliminary hearing is set for December 8th at 8:30 a.m. If he is found guilty of the vehicular manslaughter charge he is facing, he is looking at a max sentence of 15 years in prison and a $15,000 fine. It's not my place to judge, but in my mind that's just not enough.
