Mom, Boyfriend Charged with Baby Abuse
24 year-old Nicole Christiansen and her boyfriend who is 17 (his name was not released due to the fact that he's a juvenile) were arrested and charged with felony injury to a child when Christiansen's 18-month-old daughter was found badly bruised at an apartment in Mountain Home.
Officers were tipped off that a baby had been abused and went to the Desert Manor Apartments Wednesday morning. According to the police, the baby had "severe bruising" on her face, forehead, head, and back. The baby was then taken to St. Luke's Elmore Medical Center.
Due to the fact that Christiansen's boyfriend is a minor, their relationship is also under investigation. It should also be noted that according to Christiansen, he is NOT the baby's father.
The Mountain Home Police Department would like to say thank you to those who tipped them off about the situation.
