Miss Idaho 2016 Crowned

Miss Idaho was crowned on Saturday night at the Nampa Civic Center!

Kylee Solberg, the current Miss Tri Cities took home the title of "Miss Idaho." She competed with 21 other women around the state.

Kylee is from Coeur d'Alene and is currently studying communications at BSU.

Kylee was 1st runner up in the Miss Idaho pageant last year and she was crowned Miss National Sweetheart 2015.

The new Miss Idaho will tackle bullying as her platform this year. She was inspired by a story of a young girl who grew up with her and was bullied. Her platform is titled "Our Words Have Power" and Kylee says she wrote that young girl who was bullied a letter than encouraged her to look past the mean words and recognize that her life has worth.

She will compete in the Miss America competition on September 11th in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
