The Middleton School District Superintendent is calling for longer school days to make up for all the lost time the kids have had with all this snow.

Middleton High School is now in a deficit of 17 hours below the minimum state standard.  Idaho high schools must provide the kids with at least 990 hours of school in a year.

An email has just gone out to the parents explaining the time changes.  Students will attend an extra 15 minutes per day.  This will allow them to not miss any holidays and not have to extend school into their summer break.

All high school hours are now 8:05 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.  Wednesdays is their short day with hours from 8:05 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
