It's getting close to that time and we're all just a little extra excited because its only been... oh... ten years since we've had a huge air show here.

Gowen Field will be hosting the event which highlights The Thunderbirds and both Gowen and the Mountain Home Air Force base are now practicing their emergency fire drills.  These tests will continue monthly through this Fall when the show goes down.

Fighting fuel jet fires at air shows are pretty much expected at every show so that's why they're training now. Chief Tyler Fords says...

"The importance is to get the mess ups out of the way to be honest.  If we're going to mess up do it during training."

Planes will be taking off and landing at both Gowen Field and Mountain Home Air Force Base so the two are working hard, together to make sure this show is as safe, fun, and exciting as possible.
