A three day weekend is on the way for many, but what's open and what's closed in the Treasure Valley for Memorial Day?

- The kids will be out of school! All schools, colleges, and universities will be closed.

- All Treasure Valley libraries will close for the holiday.

-All city, county, state, and federal offices will be closed.

- If your trash day is Monday (like mine) don't set your trash out. Garbage will be collected one day late all week.

-You won't be getting your mail. All Post Offices will be closed and Express Mail is the only mail you will receive.

-Get your booze early, because all state and contract liquor stores will be closed Monday.

-ValleyRide city buses will not be running.

-Most banks and credit unions will be closed. The only locations that may be open or partially open are branches inside grocery stores, so double check with your branch.

The good news is that according to the Idaho Statesman, most malls, stores, and supermarkets will be open, so you can still easily throw that BBQ or do a little memorial day shopping!
