An Idaho man was stuck for 13 days in the Oregon wilderness before finally being rescued.

42-year-old Richard Towell Jr. had been missing since May 28th. No word yet on how he initially became lost and stuck, but his vehicle was found back on June 6th. He had returned to his car and was found on Sunday at the Clear Creek Trailhead.

An extensive search had been launched to find Richard, including ground teams, horses, a canine, and an air search according to KTVB.

Search and rescue teams battled steep, rocky terrain trying to find Richard and they kept hoping he would find his way back to his car, which he ultimately did.

After battling the elements for nearly two weeks he is listed in stable condition at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Baker City.
