Man Convicted of Murder Dies in Prison
According to the Idaho Department of Corrections, 56-year-old Aurelio Moya Barajas died early Saturday morning in a men's prison south of Boise. Barajas was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole after being convicted of first degree murder in 1993.
A C.O. (corrections officer) found Barajas on the floor of his cell at roughly 2 AM and began life saving procedures. Ada County paramedics declared Barajas dead at around 3:30 AM and the Ada County Coroner's Office is working to determine a cause of death.
