Lion King Musical Sneak Peek

If there's one musical you attend this year,  you might want to make it this one. For the first time ever, Disney's The Lion King will make a stop at the Morrison Center in Boise. It's the third longest-running show in Broadway history with over 90 million audience members worldwide, and its been selling out for over two decades. Now, YOU get the chance to see it with your own eyes this Fall. Yesterday, the Morrison Center hosted a sneak peak of the beautiful production and I was lucky enough to attend.

A big shout out to the Morrison Center and Disney on Broadway for hosting the event that featured yummy appetizers, drinks and-of course-a sneak peek of some of the amazing musical numbers we'll hear later this year. They even showed behind the scenes videos on the creative concepts behind the incredible stage props, wardrobe/costumes, and musical numbers. It was (to say the least) INCREDIBLE.

I took along my bonus kiddo, and she absolutely loved it. Watching wide-eyed the whole time. She even got the opportunity to meet the actors that play Simba, Nala, and Rafiki! She kept hoping they'd just throw on their costumes and start the show, but unfortunately she -like the rest of us- will have to wait until October when the Lion King makes its three-week run in the Treasure Valley. Lucky for us last night, Disney was kind enough to give us a goodie bag that included a super cute tote bag, a CD with numbers recorded by the original cast, a cute stuffed Nala lion, and an awesome photo book to keep us satisfied until then.
