She's lucky to be alive this morning; an Idaho State Trooper was involved in a serious crash while escorting the National Christmas Tree.

The crash happened along Idaho 55 yesterday afternoon about 12:20 near Banks.

Trooper Brandalyn Crapo was the leading escort of the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree when a Dodge pickup truck crossed the center line and slammed into Crapo's car.

She was flown to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with minor injuries. By the picture of the crash, it's a surprise she wasn't injured worse.

According to KTVB, 49 year old Michael Shields of Boise was driving the pick-up truck that hit Crapo and he was treated for his injuries at the scene.

The Christmas Tree was not involved in the accident.
