Lakeland Junior High School staff reported two of their students to the Rathdum Police yesterday afternoon for having a "Hit List" at school.

Around 11 a.m. the school resource officer was notified of one of these kids having a hit list.  Later a second student was found with a hit list as well.

The actual charges against these kids are threatening violence on school property.  They've been booked into the Kootenai County Juvenile Detention Center.

The students are 13 and 14 years old and police believe the two incidents are separate.  Lakeland Junior High is open today along with extra security to ensure the safety of the students, staff, and family members dropping off and picking up their kids.
