Idaho Rapist Says He Was Doing God’s Will

It's embarrassing and shameful to say this man is from Idaho.  Locked up for 5 to 20 years now for raping a minor and he has the audacity to say that God told him to do it, and this young girl should feel blessed she was chosen.

According to KTVB 48-year-old Michael Mercado who was caught raping a 17-year-old girl who he'd bullied into a long lasting sexual relationship with has been sentenced and now Mercado's attorney is asking for leniency because Mercado is a sex addict who's failed in four different marriages because of his cheating.

7th District Judge Joel Tingey didn't go for that giving Mercado 5 to 20 years.

Mercado had been stalking this young girl since she was 13-years-old and eventually scared her into having continued sexual relations with him.  He told her that God had come to him and said the two of them were meant to be married.  The young girl says she was too scared to say no.
