Idaho Man Drowns on Snake River

A man is dead this morning after a boating trip went terribly wrong on the Snake River.

So far all we know is that the boat capsized when it went over a diversion at about 2:30 yesterday afternoon.

Two adult males fell into the water downstream from the North Bingham County Park near Shelley. One of the men was able to make it to shore safely they other did not.

The man's name has not been released yet, but according to the Idaho Statesman his identity is expected to be released later today.

We do know the man is from Bingham County. Please keep all those affected by the loss of this man in your thoughts and prayers. We have had far too many tragedies this holiday season.
