Idaho Man Catches Fish Bigger Than an NFL Linebacker

The monster fish nearly capsized the fisherman's kayak like something out of a movie.

While kayaking on the Snake River, two men came across a sturgeon way bigger than they were expecting. They encountered the fish soon after they got on the water, but it took them almost an hour to reel the sturgeon in.

The fisherman who actually reeled in the beast goes by the name Sturgeon Steve, and it's easy to see why. This fish is absolutely mammoth. Steve estimates the sturgeon weighed in at around 300 lbs. That's like, the size of a shark isn't it? Or a whale? Or a freaking T-Rex? My god.

The best part? Steve and his fishing buddy got the brutal encounter all on video.

As is law in Idaho, after they reeled the fish in, they released it back into the wild to fight another day.
