Sometimes you just want to be a good neighbor, you know? Maybe it's because you're a nice person or maybe you don't know your neighbors but want to do something nice to break the ice.

There are different ways you can go about this but if you're carelessly generous, you could wind up in some legal trouble in Idaho.

The good news is that you're likely only to face a fine of $300, so no jumpsuits with "Jagged Jimmy" or Cheetos. Besides, you cut your neighbor's yard! They should be thanking you and hopefully, the judge will have mercy on your circumstance.

And the bad news...

The bad news is if you're terrible at cutting grass... like if you absolutely suck at it, your neighbor could say that you caused "damage" to their property. You could face up to six months of jail time if it's your first time catching this violation according to Idaho legislation.

While it's not as spontaneous and will likely make the situation more awkward; ask your neighbor first.

Awkward? Potentially. More awkward than "Jagged Jimmy" selling you to a guy named "Brickhouse" for a pair of socks and a can of beans? Probably not.
