Idaho Baby Dies from Meth

A mother has plead guilty to putting methamphetamine in her baby's bottle and cough medicine!

In January of 2015, twenty-five year old Heather Elam of Salmon, Idaho called the Lemhi Sheriff's Office to report that her 6 month old child was unresponsive.

First responders were unable to revive the child and the baby later died at a Salmon hospital.

When investigators looked into the case they found methamphetamine in the baby's system, bottles, and a bottle of cough medicine.

The infant's mother, who says she never intended to kill her child, has plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

According to KTVB, she will be sentenced on November 17th.
