Idaho has been ranked among the Worst in the Nation for Working Mom's! As a working Mom myself, this doesn't make me happy! Here's why we're not a good state for working Mom's.

Wallethub.com recently conducted a survey that shows we are

8th in Nation for the Worst States for Working Mom's

The reasons...

We're dead last for quality daycare. Ranking 51st.

As far as cost of daycare we're 17th, which isn't horrible, but not spectacular either.

We're near the very bottom, 48th for pediatric services.

There are far more male executives in Idaho compared to female executives. Only 5 states have less female executives than we do.

We rank 35th in the nation for parents being able to take time off of work for childbirth or child care.

Lot's of single Mom's are living in poverty in Idaho. We rank 36th in the nation.

Finally, the study shows we don't have great school systems. We rank 41st in the country.

As a working Mom myself here in Idaho. It's hard for me to completely agree with this study because I'm working and thriving here in the Treasure Valley. I've also been very happy with the school my children attend and the schools that I have visited. That being said, being a working Mom is tough in any state. It's exhausting and a very careful balance between earning a living, creating a career, and raising good kids.

Thumbs up to all the working Mama's out there!!
