Horse Collides with Minivan

Horses and traffic can obviously be a deadly situation and today there has been a tragic accident in Twin Falls. 

23 year old Jacob L. Delmar was traveling northbound on U.S. 93 in a minivan when all of a sudden a horse ran out in front of him.

Unfortunately Delmar his the horse and the impact was so brutal that it completely ripped off the top of his minivan.

According to KTVB, the horse was killed in the accident and Delmar was taken to the hospital for minor injuries but is expected to be o.k.

My heart has such a soft spot for horses. I'm saddened by the loss of life today, but also grateful that the driver or anyone else nearby wasn't killed.
