TSA officers found a .380 Glock 42 and 13 rounds of ammunition in a bag at the Boise Airport.

A male passenger traveling through Boise to Denver, Colorado was carrying the bag.  TSA recognized the image of a gun on the X-Ray and called Boise Police.  The man has been charged with "weapon at a checkpoint."

This is the 3rd time this year TSA has found a firearm in a carry-on-bag at the Boise Airport.  TSA has found more than 1,200 guns across the U.S. at airport security checkpoints in 2016.

TSA is reminding passengers that it is always illegal to carry these items in your carry-on-bag.  You may transport them in checked baggage if you declare the items during the ticket counter check-in process.
