Here's what I've been reading to my kids over winter break.

It's been so cold outside, that we've spent the bulk of our time watching movies, playing games, and reading books. We explored the Meridian Library for the first time yesterday and my daughter made a great find in the new book "I Yam A Donkey!" It's a hilarious children's book about bad grammar by CeCe Bell. It just hit stores recently, but you can find it HERE.

I was also very impressed when my 7 year old daughter begged Santa to bring her "The Book With No Pictures" by B.J. Novak. This 2014 book can be found at Barnes & Noble and I noticed it at Z Gallerie at The Village yesterday. It's the cutest book which contains no pictures but as it says "makes grown-ups have to say silly things!"

We've also been reading the Roald Dahl classic "George's Marvellous Medicine."  I remember reading this book as a child. It's the hilarious tale of a young boy who makes a crazy concoction to give to his ornery old Grandmother and the bizarre adventure that ensues. If you haven't read it to your kids before, I would highly recommend it for kids ages 6-12. If you have read it in past, read it again. It's one of my favorites!

Happy reading!
