Girl Talk – Should She Loan Her Husband Money?

Molly in Caldwell wants to remodel her kitchen, but should she take this gamble with her husband?

Here is the letter we received from Molly.

Dear Rick and Carly, 

My husband and I have separate bank accounts because he has had money and gambling issues in the past. On Saturday, he asked to borrow money so he can bet on this week's Sweet Sixteen March Madness games. He never wins, but said this time he knows the winners and will give me half the money to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms, which we desperately need.

I'm torn. I want the home remodeled, but know I can't contribute to his bad habits. Should I lend him the cash or not? Have any other women loaned money to their partner? Did it work out?
