Idaho Power has done some fun things for families with an adventurous game called Geocaching.  Geocaching is a GPS (global positioning system) game involving people, adventure, and fun!

Geocaching is now a world wide phenomenon, but here, Idaho Power created 12 locations with clues, trinkets, and stamps that adventurists collect to try and solve a challenge.  Geocaching is free but you do have to be a member of Geocaching.com. in order to participate.  Make sure you login to Idaho Power's website for further directions and information before you begin your adventure!

In case Geocaching sounds sorta familiar, the National Park System has a similar program that I've enjoyed by getting stamps in a "passport".  The Park's passport program is similar in some ways as travelers add "stamps" as they journey through our nation's various parks.  I've collected a few stamps in the National Parks and had a good time collecting those stamps. Geocaching is sort of a more "high tech" way of doing the same thing with the additional word challenge attached.  Both are a great FREE thing for families and adventurists.
