Seven F-35 Jets from Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah just completed two weeks of training missions here in Idaho.

This plane will replace the A-10 Warthog.  The helmet of this jet, alone is worth $400,000.  It allows pilots to see through the cockpit.  This allows them to have increased awareness of where ground targets are and threats as well.

This helmet also allows for advanced night vision and the ability to display threats to the pilot's field of vision.  No word on when the F-35's will replace the Warthogs yet.
