Ellen’s Selfie Earns St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital $1.5 Million!

If you were watching the Oscars on Sunday, you probably saw the making of the selfie seen 'round the world. Well if you retweeted it, you were a part of something really amazing!

WOW 104.3 is a huge supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (our radiothon is this Thursday and Friday) and apparently so is Ellen. According to the Today Show, Samsung-who strategically gave Ellen a phone to use during the Oscars- decided to pay it forward with their free advertisement. For every retweet of that awesome selfie with some of today's biggest stars, Samsung paid $1 to St. Jude and the Humane Society, Ellen's charities of choice. So amazing, thanks Samsung!!
