Election Day: Stay Cool…

Ya know, that guy who annoys you every weekday on your drive home on WOW 104.3 :P  So, it's that special time again. Election Day! The day when we get to let our voices be heard and do our part to make sure the country heads in the direction we want it to go.

However, I don't think it's any secret that it seems as though we're more divided than ever this election.  After all these months of arguments on TV, social media, etc. I think it's safe to say that both passions and tensions are high.  So I just wanna say, let's do our best to be respectful of other people's choices this election.  Whether you're avidly pro-Trump, Hillary, another candidate, or if you feel you're simply voting for the lesser of two evils, let's all stay calm and remember that as citizens of this country, at the end of the day we're all on the same team here.

Being able to vote your conscience despite what anyone else may think is one of the great freedoms we get to enjoy in this country which quite frankly, it's a privilege that many people around the world never get to experience.  While you may not be able to fathom at all why someone would decide to vote for a certain candidate, let's all decide to take the high road this time around and not belittle other people for voting how they want.  Probably the best way we can ALL do this is is to not insult each other over social media which, if your newsfeed is anything like mine lately, you've seen some pretty vicious attacks on people for their views.

So while I ABSOLUTELY encourage you to get out there and vote. No matter what happens, let's all remain calm, support each other regardless of political affiliation, and do our part to ensure a bright future for our country.  Because I think we all know, it takes more than just the election of a president to make our country a place we're all proud to call home.
