It was "Girls Night Out" with my daughter in Boise last night and we've made a plan to eat our way through this foodie town! Indian food was on the menu last night and here's what we found.

My 7 year old daughter Jocelyn has been learning about India in school lately. She's told me about the tombs, the elaborate dressing, and Indian elephants. So last night we decided to check out some Indian Food.

We found there are 3 authentic Indian restaurants here in the Treasure Valley. Bombay Grill off of Main Street in Boise, Taj Mahal off of infamous 8th Street, and Madhuban Indian Cuisine off of State Street in Boise. We decided to check out Taj Mahal since I love the energy of 8th Street and she loved the name because she had just learned all about the mausoleum of the same name in India which an emperor had built as a tomb for his favorite wife.

We kept things simple with chicken, madras curry, and naan (a classic Indian flat bread.) I could drink curry through a straw, so I thought it was amazing. My daughter found it a little spicy, even though we ordered it mild, but she still loved trying authentic Indian food.

As we ate, we made a plan to try all of the different cuisines from around the world each time we have girls night! Next time we're trying French food! We'll let you know what we find and how it is!
