A Meridian man is the hospital and his dog is missing after a crash on I-84 Friday evening.

53-year-old Christian R. King sideswiped a semi-truck near the Gowen Road exit while he was headed westbound just after 6 p.m. yesterday evening.

As the accident occurred, Christian lost control, veered off to the right shoulder, and overturned according to KTVB.

He was transferred to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise and was listed in "serious condition" as of Saturday afternoon.

Aside from Christian's recovery, his family is very concerned as to what may have happened to his three-year-old yellow lab named "Huck" who was riding in the cab of Christian's 2008 Ford F-250 pick-up when he hit the semi-truck driven by 57-year-old Tamara R. Harbaugh of Buhl, Idaho.

Huck was thrown from the truck and may be injured. The only sighting of Huck so far comes from a motorist who believes they saw Huck around 6 or 7 this morning near mile marker 55, but police have not been able to find Christian's beloved dog.

If you saw anything or if you spot a yellow lab with an identification tag and a phone number on it, but not a name, please contact Tracy King at 208-860-4284.

We certainly hope that Christian makes a full recovery and that Huck is brought home safe and sound.
