Do You Have A Sunburn Or Are You Always This Hot?

67 percent of people say they have used an excuse to talk to somebody they were interested in getting to know.

That’s not a scientific fact.  Actually, not even close.  In fact, I saw it in an online commercial for Tic-Tacs. Which makes me wonder, has anybody ever watched an online video, had the opportunity to “SKIP AD” after five seconds, and actually watched the whole thing?  I mean, seriously…. If I have an opportunity to “skip ad,” even if it stars my own kid, I will ALWAYS skip it.  It’s like a Pavlovian response. See “skip ad,” press skip ad.

But I digress…

What excuse can you use to meet somebody you find interesting that would actually work?  Anything you say is going to sounds like a lame pickup line.

“Do I know you from somewhere?”

“Is this seat taken?”

“Did it hurt….?  When you fell from Heaven….”

Have such cheesy lines ever worked?  I suppose they can’t be any worse than, “Hey, want a Tic Tac?”
