Different Ways to Win the Lottery!

Just in case you're a newby to the lottery like I am, the jackpot can only be won if you have all 5 numbers on the white balls, in any order, as well as the red Powerball.

To win 2nd place, you have to get all 5 numbers on the white balls, but if you don't get the Powerball number, you still walk away with $1 Million dollars, just like our local boy Jacob Christopherson from Meridian did a few weeks ago.

You can also score $50,000 if you have 4 of the white ball numbers and the Powerball.

If you get either 4 white balls correct and no Powerball, or 3 white balls and the Powerball you win $100.

If you score 3 white balls and no Powerball or 2 white balls and the Powerball, you win $7 and if you have 1 white ball and the Powerball or just the Powerball itself you win $4.

Also, Power Play happens when you opt to spend $3 instead of $2 for a ticket. Power Play ensures the buyer will have his or her prize money doubled, except for in the case of the jackpot.
