A life was cut short this morning in a fatal rollover crash along I-84 between Boise and Mountain Home.

It can all be gone in an instant as we once again painfully learned as a community this morning.

33-year-old Amy Beer was headed westbound along I-84 in her Toyota Camry just before 5 a.m. In her passenger seat was 46-year-old Samuel McCormic of Filer.

According to KTVB, neither Amy nor Samuel were wearing seatbelts when Amy drove off the left side of the road, overcorrected, and rolled the Toyota.

The crash ejected McCormic from the vehicle and he died at the scene. Amy was injured and is currently being treated at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Her condition is not known at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Amy and all those who loved Samuel McCormic. We are approaching the 100 deadliest days on the road between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Please buckle up, stay focused, and defensive as you drive.
