Dashing Through The Snow

Didn't it feel like yesterday we were wondering when we were finally going to feel winter?  Actually.  I think it was yesterday but alas a giant low-pressure high system moved in (actual storm front name may vary), but it's not the what feels like sub-zero temps that have me thinking about the holidays, it's the 2013 Boise Holiday Parade going on this Saturday!

The 2013 Boise Holiday Parade *The Joy of Giving* will start at 9:45am and will run along 11th & Jefferson/4th Street/Bannock Street.  Grand Marshal will be Robert Krueger. As someone who is fairly new to town I wanted to know a little bit more about Mr. Krueger.  I mean you have to be important to be a Grand Marshal in a parade, right? Called our good friends over at KTVB and they almost laughed when I asked who he was....I was like "sorry, sorry, I am a transplant!" Krueger is known as "Mr. Television" or "Mr. Boise" because of all the contributions he made to the Treasure Valley.  He served as news director, sales manager, and was name President Emeritus of KTVB.  We can thank Mr. Krueger for some of the great faces we see on KTVB today like Dee Sarton and Carolyn Holly.  So while you're at the Boise Holiday Parade make sure to give an extra wave to the Grand Marshal!
