Imagine waking up to a cow elk hanging out in your basement!  That is what happened recently to one Sun Valley family on a snowy day.  The family called Idaho Fish and Game

and they were successfully able to create a path for her to head out of the basement and back to her herd of about 30 other elk.  Idaho Fish and Game has also noted that this year due to the snow, the elk and other animals are being forced to eat closer to town instead of up in the mountains so they can find food and are warning motorists to use caution when driving.

When I was leaving the radio station last week there were at least 6 deer on the corner of Park Boulevard trying to cross the road.  Yes they were close to the Boise River but also super close to all that traffic! Be careful everyone!
