I can not wait for Costco to open in Meridian at Chinden and Ten Mile and now it looks like Costco is eyeing another Idaho location.

Idaho Falls could see a Costco coming to town. According to the Idaho State Journal, Costco has been eluding the Idaho Falls area for years but due to the explosive growth much like we've seen here in the Treasure Valley, that boost could possibly support a Costco coming to town. Idaho Falls sits second behind Boise as far as having a strong economy.

Residents would like to see Costco open where Sears was formally located in the Grand Teton Mall, but who knows if that will happen or not.

Right now those living in Idaho Falls have to travel all the way to Pocatello (approx. 48 minutes away) to go to Costco.

Of course, a Costco in Idaho Falls would bring much more than affordable, quality, bulk foods, and goods. Costco would bring a lot of jobs to the area, around 100 full-time jobs to be precise, averaging at least $15/hour.

I love Costco. I think every city should have a Costco, so I'm super happy for those living in Idaho Falls. Before you get too excited though, keep in mind, that Costco has made no comment on this and they typically will not confirm a location until three months before a store opens.
