Just how many times have you eaten ramen? It's a college staple and great for those (eh hem: us) who are on a budget. How is this go-to cuisine made? With as much as we've consumed, we thought we'd take a peek...

Flour, water, salt and kansui. Kansui makes the noodles yellow-ish and firm. So, basically, it's the key ingredient.

 

I'm not proud to admit it but in the past, I have just opened the ramen package, sprinkled on a bit of the seasoning packet and just eaten the noodles raw. I have done this multiple times. Then, there are times when I got fancy and added some green onions and toppings to the cooked noodles that actually made it to a bowl WITH SILVERWARE!
