Caldwell Woman Attacked with an Ax!

Imagine waking up in your bed to find a man trying to attack you with an ax! It happened to one Caldwell woman. Here's her story. 

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was asleep with her husband on January 2nd at 9:20 p.m. when Gary Lee Cronk walked into her bedroom and tried to attack her with an ax.

Cronk was also living in the home, but he broke into the woman's bedroom. According to KTVB, Cronk demanded she give him her phone and threatened to kill her.

The woman received multiple wounds on her hand, wrist, and forearm.

Cronk is denying the allegations and says the woman was either bit by a dog or that she cut herself.

Cronk was booked into the Canyon County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated battery and a misdemeanor charge of telecommunications line interference.
