Caldwell Man Killed By Train

A man from Caldwell has been hit and killed by a train. Here is his tragic story.

33 year old Kristoffer McCreary was wearing his headphones, walking along a the train tracks when he was hit and killed by a train about 1/2 a mile from the Snake River in Baker County at approximately 5:44 p.m. on Sunday.

According to KTVB, the engineer laid on his horn and rang his bell but McCreary was wearing earbud headphones and didn't even flinch.

The train couldn't stop in time and the young man was hit and killed.

The collision will be investigated but please keep in mind that it is illegal to walk along train tracks. We need to do everything we can to prevent this kind of tragedy from happening again.
