James Webb III will be the second former BSU men's basketball star in history to join the NBA!

After 60 picks in the NBA draft Thursday night, former BSU star James Webb III didn't hear his name called.

According to KTVB, Webb was contacted by about 10 teams after the draft and the Philadelphia 76'ers offered him up the best opportunity and a 2 year deal with the team.

The 6' 9" Forward led Boise State with an average 15.8 points per game and 9.1 rebounds during the 2015-2016 basketball season.

Webb was also named Mountain West Player of the week 3 times during his BSU days and he earned First-Team All-MW honors.

The only other former BSU basketball player to play in an NBA game is Coby Karl who played for the Golden State Warriors in 2010. He is currently the assistant coach for the NBA development league the Westchester Knicks.
