Brantley Gilbert and a symphony orchestra may sound like an unlikely combination, but that's exactly what Nashville fans were treated to on Friday (May 4), when Gilbert appeared back by a full orchestra, led by conductor Jim Gray, dubbed the Ones That Like Me Orchestra after the country star's current tour. The results? Pretty dang rockin'!

The musicians played Gilbert on with an epic, circular violin melody, as a Jumbotron displayed a countdown of the 10 seconds before the beginning of the performance, each gigantic, glittering number exploding like a firework. After appearing onstage, the singer launched into a raucous, high-energy performance, the backing orchestra only heightening the drama and glitz of his songs. Gilbert moved through a set list that included hits such as "Country Must Be Country Wide," "My Kinda Party" and "More Than Miles," to name a few.

Gilbert's 2018 Ones That Like Me Tour kicked off on Feb. 1, and includes 36 stops. In a press release, the country star explained that he wanted the tour's name to speak to what, in his eyes, the trek was all about: getting to just hang out with all the fans who support him.

"[It's] a chance for me to get together with all the people out there who get this music, who believe in these songs and live their lives just like the people back home do," Gilbert explains.

In March, Gilbert's tour plans hit a snag when his tour bus caught fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and Gilbert had a sense of humor about this incident, posting a video of flames coming out of the back of the bus set to a clip of "Hell on Wheels," a song from Gilbert's 2010 album Halfway to Heaven.
