Idaho fire officials have implemented Stage One Fire Restrictions beginning today.

With the threat of wildfires starting and spreading across our state, officials feel that being safe rather than sorry is best.  So what is stage one?

Campfires and stove fires are prohibited except with designated recreation sites in all private and public lands protected by the Boise National Forest, Boise District Bureau of Land Management, and state lands within Ada, Canyon, Gem, Payette, Elmore, Boise, Valley, and Washington counties.  Also BLM lands surrounding Mann Creek Reservoir, Cascade Reservoir, Arrowrock and Anderson Ranch Reservoirs.

Smoking is also prohibited at these sites.
