Boise Prosecutor Pleads Guilty

Her mug shot has been deemed the "saddest mug shot" in Boise and now she has pleaded "guilty" to a felony DUI charge. 

I can't help but feel some level of empathy for this woman. Maybe I shouldn't, but I do. Yes, she made a terrible choice that now she will be justifiably punished for, but she used to be a very different woman.

41 year old Jolene Maloney was once Boise's top prosecuting attorney.

She stepped down from her position after her arrest last year.

According to KTVB, Maloney was pulled over on April 7, 2016 driving 52 mph in a 35 mph zone.

She was found to have a blood alcohol content level of .182/.183 which is more than twice the legal limit of .08. This was her 3rd DUI since 2012, which made it a felony charge.

The guilty plea by Maloney means she could spend up to 10 years in jail. She is currently free on a $50,000 bond, but her sentencing has been set for March 17th.
