Looks like a carjacker in Boise picked the wrong guy to mess with.  According to police, a man attempted to carjack a vehicle by running out into the middle of the road forcing the driver to stop.

The incident took place yesterday morning near the intersection of Kootenai and Hilton Street.  Reports say that once the car was stopped, the suspect opened the door and attempted to steal the car along with a few other items.  He then proceeded to punch the victim when they refused.

While it's unclear on to how exactly it happened, the victim successfully fought back against the carjacker and got them to retreat.

The suspect is still on the run and anyone with information is urged to contact 377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.  He's described as light-skinned, roughly 6 feet tall with a slender build, and most likely between 25-30 years old.  Police say at the time of the incident he was clean shaven and wore dark clothing.
