Jeffery Thomas Hunter, 28, is now facing a felony charge of injury to a child after deputies found his 3-year-old daughter living in what they deemed as dangerous conditions.

The Ada County Sherriff's Office went out to investigate the house at Five Mile Road and Tanglewood Drive on Sunday after receiving reports of the conditions inside Hunter's home.  Not only was the house dirty and unsanitary according to their report, but there were also syringes and drug paraphernalia left in places where his daughter could get ahold of them.

In addition to that, their reports go on to say that there was a dirty carpet, holes in the walls, they could smell marijuana, and they found exposed wires coming from an electrical outlet.  There was also no running water, no working toilet, and Hunter said that he had been using the oven to heat the home due to the fact that his furnace had been broken.

The daughter was taken into the custody of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare while Hunter could face 10 years in prison if convicted.
