11-year-old Ashlynn Neeser of Boise rides her bicycle to help keep her out of the hospital.  On Tuesday her bike was stolen while she was inside Collister Library.

Her father, of course, was very upset and took all the proper steps in finding Ashlynn's bike.  He drove around the neighborhood for hours.  Reported the bike missing to the police, checked all the pawn shops, and took to facebook to ask his friends to keep an eye out for it.

You see Ashlynn's bike is more than just a bike to her.  Not only is it how she gets around but it keeps her out of the hospital.  Ashlynn has Chron's disease and the exercise biking gives her is necessary.  Her dad also has Chron's disease so he knows how important it is for Ashlynn to stay active.

After taking to facebook, Ashlynn's father received this message...

"I sent him a message and I said hey I started this fundraiser and said hey you don't know me and I hope I haven't overstepped my bounds but i just had to do something, " said Melissa Gallegos.

Melissa's gofundme page raised over $1,000 in less than a week.  Enough for Ashlynnn to buy a new bike and a bike lock.  Melissa also has Chron's disease as was moved, along with lots of others in the Treasure Valley, by Ashlynn's story.

Thanks to a handful of wonderful people.  Ashlynn now continues to ride her bike and says she plans on signing up for the Boise Braves Mountain Bike Team.
