Instilling self-esteem in our girls is more important now than ever. A very cool event this Saturday is doing just that.

Join me at the fountain at The Village in Meridian for a very inspiring workout that benefits "Girls on the Run" here in the Treasure Valley.

If you don't know much about "Girls on the Run" it's essentially a non-competitive running program for girls in 3rd through 5th grades, but truly it's much more than that.

Young women involved in "Girls on the Run" learn good nutritional habits, they learn about saying no to drugs and alcohol, and my favorite component of this program is teaching the girls not to gossip or bully.

Over the course of 11 weeks, the girls involved train for a 5K which they complete at the end of the program which is held in both the Spring and the Fall.

Studies show that girls involved in this program spend less time in front of computers and televisions and they make better eating decisions.

It's an incredible program that I am going to encourage my 9-year-old daughter to be a part of this next school year.

This Saturday YOU have the opportunity to join me and support "Girls on the Run" through the BeYOUtiful project.

Registration: 8 a.m.

Yoga and Pilates Workout: 9 a.m.

Proceeds benefit "Girls on the Run" so they can provide scholarships to girls who can't afford the program, plus we'll be raffling off really cool prizes like a $250 gift card to The Village and a cruiser bike! Plus we'll be eating yummy food and drinking Mimosas! Win, Win!

Register by clicking the link below and I'll see YOU this Saturday!
