Rick and I have had the opportunity to visit a few fine dining establishments here in Boise and here's what we recommend!

Last night we dined at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Ruth's Chris is a chain, but neither one of us had been there before. We went with our good friends at Core Group Realty, Tomm and Gabe. Wow, we were impressed! I honestly don't think I've ever had a better steak in my life!

Here's what I ordered.

I kicked things off with a Ruby Red Greyhound cocktail... the server recommended it and I'm so glad she did!! I made myself stop at two, but I could have sipped on them all night! (Vodka, grapefruit juice, and  lime juice! Oh so good!)

Next up... chopped salad. It was topped with fried onions, need I say more!

I ordered the petite filet, while Rick got the rib eye. I tried his, it was good, really good, but I think mine was better!! I ordered it with the blue cheese crumbles on top and if you love blue cheese like I do, there is no other option!

We finished the night off with creme brulee and pecan pie. I don't even normally like creme brulee, but this was amazing! For their full menu click HERE.

Another one of our favorite fine dining establishments here in Boise is Barbacoa. They have a Barbacoa chain back in Utah where we came from, but it's fast food Mexican. Boise's Barbacoa is nothing like that! We've dined at Barbacoa several times since moving here and my favorites are their table side guacamole, their "Hot Rock" filet (Yes, you cook it yourself on a hot rock and it comes with this sauce that I could eat by the spoonful!) My favorite cocktail, "The Amy" It's vodka based with huckleberries and mint. I'll warn you, it's strong but so tasty! If you go during Happy Hour which runs weekdays from 4-6, drinks are 2 for 1!!

The last place on my list I will admit I have yet to try, but I've heard nothing but great things about it. Have you been to Chandler's downtown? I've heard their seafood and steaks are incredible! Who wants to take me?! Ha!

Happy fine dining folks!
