BASE Jumping: Parachuting or Wingsuit Flying from a structure or cliff.  Considered an extreme sport and because of it's low altitude jumping it's considered more dangerous than sky diving from a plane.  I met a woman on an airplane once who was flying into Boise and when I asked her where she was going she said "Twin Falls".  She told me she was a BASE jumper.  I asked her if she planned on visiting the gorgeous town of Sun Valley when she here and she said "no" (Sun Valley is located just over an hour from Twin Falls).  She was just here to BASE jump (um wow).

Here in Idaho, BASE jumping happens a lot and one of the most popular places in the world that it happens is in the town of Twin Falls.  Perrine Bridge provides that "BASE" for avid legal jumpers world wide.  In many towns it's illegal but not in Twin Falls!  There is even a school for BASE jumping in Twin Falls if you care to learn before you leap.

Perrine bridge is 1,500 feet (457 m) long and 486 feet (148 m) above the Snake River. The elevation of the road is approximately 3,600 feet (1,097 m) above sea level. Located above Idaho's Snake River, it is the only manmade structure in the US where BASE jumping is allowed all year, without a permit.   Perrine bridge is famous world wide for jumpers and has made the list of one of the best BASES to jump from.
