Banks-Lowman Road Is Back Open

Finally, the Highway 17, Banks-Lowman road is open again.

The Pioneer Fire has burned over 87,000 acres now and is 50% contained.  The fire led to Highway 17 road closure for a lot of the summer.  Highway 17 re-opened this morning at 8.  Please be careful when driving this road because there may be falling rocks, debris, and trees from the burning hillsides.
