Last night I had a pork problem.

My schedule this week has been crazy.  Yesterday around 4:30 PM I realized that I hadn’t come up with a dinner plan yet.  With my wife working until 6, and usually not home until 6:30 or so, it is my job to make sure dinner is cooked and on the table.  But like I said, it’s been very hectic this week so I haven’t done a good job of grocery shopping either.

So I headed down to the basement and raided the freezer.  I found a couple of packages of frozen boneless pork chops.  But when I say ‘frozen,’ I mean ‘ice-rock hard could sink a cruise ship frozen.’  I turned to the trusty internet and googled “can you cook frozen pork chops in the oven.”  Apparently it is a controversial issue right up there with gun control and who is the best Dr. Who.

It turns out you CAN cook them from frozen, but you should NOT do it at 350 for two hours as some suggest.  Sure, the parasites are destroyed, but so is the pork chop.  Now if you’ll excuse me I have a LOT of very dry and chewy leftovers to work my way through.
